      Wow....

Posted by Kris E on May 19th 2020

WOW is all I can say, I had the turbo Xs single exit and I'm at stock height and all I did was scrape, the noise from the turbo xs was nice it was acceptable but I wanted something a little more bassy and had a nice tone, low and behold the Exceladyne Cat back now I have it paired with the sideways guru o2 housing and race pipe so im complete turbo back and the sound this thing produces when under wot is awesome, at idle it's nice and subtle, can definitely tell it's aftermarket then you start driving absolutely no drone exhaust sounds great at highway speeds just overall a really nice exhaust, very well made!!!

      Yup

Hey, man. If you're looking for a dope exhaust, this is it. I waited a while to actually decide on which exhaust to buy. I was deciding between the ISR Race, The Exceladyne, Turbo xs, and Injen. I felt like those were the best sounding exhausts that is currently available for the Genesis Coupe. I chose the Exceladyne because of its look and it's "rich" sound judging from the youtube sound videos. The ISR is really loud, which is cool in most cases, but I didn't want something too loud to attract the cops here in California. The injen was nice, but the diameter of piping is 2.25" which I didn't want because of performance reductions and the turbo xs looked more "Race" like and I was going for the OEM plus look.

Now for the sound. The video above is misleading. The video above says catback, but that sound in the video certainly is not a catback sound. That video above is the sound of a full turbo back. The catback is just after the 2nd cat, which in turn would reduce a lot of engine noise (growl and crackling). The catback however, Is deep sounding, but doesn't have the growl that the video portrays. You will have to get the full turbo back for that sound. I think they should update the video because I actually made the choice for this exhaust while watching a different video on youtube. The sound it actually produces a deep with VERY MINIMAL RASP when you accelerate, but even deeper and mellow at idle. This was exactly what I was looking for in an exhaust. Not too loud, but not too mellow. Just right. When you go above 4k RPMS then she gets loud!

Now, for the installation.. The exhaust comes with hardware, but only the hardware that mates the axle back to the mid pipe. It did not come with hardware to connect to your stock CAT. This wasn't a problem, however the diameter of the holes to connect the catback to the OEM cat weren't big enough! I had to spend a little over an hour filing the holes on the exceladyne exhaust in order to mate the cat to the exhaust. This made the installation a little more time consuming then I expected. Therefore, the fitment was NOT %100 perfect as described above. After the exhaust was attached, the mid pipe was a lot bigger than the OEM mid pipe, so you have to use hand tools to finish up the installation as the clearance was too small for an impact socket to fit. I ended up removing the cat from the car, installing it to the exceladyne mid pipe ensuring that the bolts could be impacted for the tightest possible seal (no leaks), and then using an impact to install the cat and mid pipe back up to the stock downipe (where clearance wasn't an issue). After that, the exceladyne axle back installation was a breeze and self explanatory.

I gave the product 5 stars because the sound is just too rich to give anything less than a 5. Beyond Redline really did a good job with the finish, the welds are nothing less than extraordinare, the pipes look amazing from the rear, and most of all I am extremely happy that it took less than 3 weeks to get to me. Great Job Beyond Redline. I took a little while to write a review because I wanted to see what it sounded like after it "broke in". Truly an amazing sound. Pair this with the stage one tune and Cold Air Intake and you'll have a bad ass sound that turns heads everywhere. Thanks Beyond Redline. This was definitely worth the money.

      Absolutely Amazing

Ive had this exhaust on for a while and let me tell you it is absolutely amazing. It has a nice rumble at lower rpm but get nice and loud when at full throttle. Causes a lot of attention to the car and is totally worth it. May consider going full turboback in the future. Shoutout to Tim for helping me with the purchase.

      amazing!

Bought this exhaust after reading all the good reviews and let me tell you it is worth the money! Took less than a week to deliver and wasn't hard to put on, and sounds amazing! My only problem was it was a little uneven in the back. Overall I love it, people still can't believe it's a 4 cylinder.

      High quality and awesome sound!

This cat back exhaust makes the car sound AWESOME! No drone at highway speeds and can be quiet if you want it to be. However, put your foot in it or build some back pressure and it's pure music to your ears.

Installation took 20 minutes, including stock removal. 4 19mm bolts, 3 hangers, and 2 gaskets. Simple.

This sounds better than my BMW M3 now!

Amazing sound. Easy install. Quick shipping.

Ordered the exhaust and it arrived in under a week can't remember exactly how long but it was fast. Came including all the necessary parts and pieces. It was packaged in tons of protective layers and was in immaculate condition. Took about 15 minutes to uninstall the old exhaust and about 10 to install the new one. Very easy and quick. Even for a beginner. The sound is awesome a nice tone up to around 2500 rpm. Then once your turbo starts spooling it sounds amazing. I recommend to anyone with a genesis. I put it on my 2013 genesis and love it. I just wish I had some beyond red line stickers for my car to show my support
