No one likes a sloppy shifter! The transmission gear select shaft on the Genesis Coupe has a plastic bushing where the select rod connects to it. This bushing can and will wear out. In some cases we have seen extensive wear in less than 50k miles of use. The end result is excessive play in the gear shift knob, typically when moving it from left to right.
This simple and very effective fix replaces the plastic bushing with an oil impregnated bronze bushing and a custom machined 4140 steel pin. This will restore your factory shifter to a better than new specification and will last the life of your vehicle.
Installation is easily accomplished on the vehicle with our optional tool that makes pressing the old bushing out and installing the new bushing a breeze.
